How quickly can I get our website up?
We design most websites in three stages. Stage I sets up a basic brochure-ware site with simple tools like e-mail signup, contribution form, and about us. Phase II adds interactivity and integrates the backend database. At this stage you will be able to segment and monitor your users' activity online. Stage III launches your top-tier interactive tools. We utilize a gradual rollout of Stage III in order to maximize earned media.
Timelines are scaled based on the scope of the project, but emotive understands how important a first impression can be. In most cases we can design and implement a Stage I website in 3-5 days.

Do I have to purchase web hosting and worry about setting up domain names?
No, emotive is a full-service shop. We will make all necessary arrangements to get your website online. We provide our own website hosting as well as domain services. We can also transfer existing domain names from your previous vendors and help you strategize on additional names to help protect your name.

Do I need to hire a graphic designer to create icons and buttons?
No, emotive has a team of talented designers. We have experience in all aspects of multimedia design, from graphics to buttons to flash animations and even streaming video. emotive's designers can either work from existing print materials or develop an entire image campaign from scratch.

How many e-mail accounts can I create for my campaign?
emotive offers a secure, redundant e-mail platform, complete with POP3 and web access. We can also add an unlimited amount of e-mail addresses for your campaign. Simply contact us and we will get you set up.

How do you prevent our messages from hitting SPAM filters?
SPAM is a tremendous issue for anyone launching an e-mail-based campaign. emotive complies with the CAN-SPAM act, and we offer all the necessary removal tools. For outside lists we utilize a simple permissioning process that insures you have the individual's permission to e-mail them. We also work with Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and blacklist providers to insure that messages sent from our servers are not flagged as SPAM.

Can you sync your database with our in-house database? If so how does that process work?
Our software can integrate with any database, even major political campaign databases like Aristotle and Campaign Solutions. Once ready to synchronize, our engineers will sit down with your team to create a security plan and synchronization schedule. Our databases allow for an infinite number of custom fields and segmentations that truly allow you to maximize your data both online and off.

Yes, our platform can integrate with any database. We can take your lists and combine, dedupe and import them into our database. We can even segment each list individually so that if you wanted to extract a certain list you could.

Can I access the database remotely?
Yes, all of emotive's tools are web-based applications. Anywhere in the world that you have access to a web browser, you will have access to your data and website. Of course you will also have access to emotive's 24/7 support, which means you can run your campaign in Des Moines, Iowa, from Waikiki Beach in Hawaii.

Can I limit access to certain individuals (i.e., so staffers have access only to contact records, not donor information)?
Yes, emotive's database team will work to secure your data to your campaign's requirements. Each staff member wishing to access the web database will be given a login. We can define security groups and restrict access based on logins.

Can we export data?
Absolutely, it's your data! You have full access to export any part of your database by logging into the web backend. emotive staff can also help you with exporting data. Data is exported in Microsoft Excel format.
