The technological center of our company currently has 29 staffs who hold master's degree or PhD degree. Technicians account for over 60% of the total staff members. The center has under it research teams in such areas as, Bio-chemistry, polymer materials, inorganic materials and fine chemicals, etc. In accordance with the guidelines of "independent innovation, key breakthrough, development support and future orientation", the company has adopted the strategy of “manufacturing-based, staff-oriented, innovation-relied" and aims to build the center, which is now at the provincial level, into a "national technological center" and considers it as its primary task to improve innovative capacity. With all these efforts, the center has sped up the building of a technological innovation system that integrates production, education and research and vigorously developed key and core technologies with independent intellectual property rights. The center also strives to improve ability in original innovation, integrated innovation, introduction and assimilation of innovation fruits, thus gradually forming an innovation-oriented technological enterprise and constantly improving comprehensive scientific and technological capabilities, independent innovation capability and scientific and technological advancement, which has ensured the sustained, rapid and coordinated development of the company.
The center currently has 23 invention patents, 1 academician workstation and 2 joint key laboratories. The center cooperates with Chinese Academy of Sciences(CAS), THU ( Tsinghua University) and other scientific research institutions in further manufacturing, educating and researching, and now has made substantial progress. In order to realize the core goal of constantly improving our competitiveness, in recent years, the center has been engaged in researching core and key technology with proprietary intellectual property rights, absorbing and optimizing overseas advanced technology, thereby the company can further enhance products quality on the basis of existing products.
During these years, Guangtong company cooperating with Chinese Academy of Sciences fulfills the project “ the Research and Industrial Production of Long Chain Dicarboxylic Acids”. This project wins “ the Second Class Prizes of the Annual State Scientific and Technological Progress Award”, it is also awarded of one of Shandong top 10 scientific and technological achievements, the Third Sciences Invention Prize of Chinese Academy, the Second Scientific and Technology Prize of Beijing.
The finished project of “Research and Development of Hot melt adhesive for High Transparency Films” makes up a domestic gap in this field.
Another finished project “Research of Improving Highly Active Protease Stability”, has enhanced the productivity and quality of long chain dicarboxylic acid made of petroleum fermentation.
The ongoing project “Research and Development of Spinning Level Low-melting-point Nylon Hot Melt Adhesive” has been approved by our customers and been put into industrial production. It has broken the international monopoly by overseas enterprises in this field and made up domestic blank.
The research and development of Nano-zirconia powder has made expected progress. At present, this product has been qualified international advanced level performance, and has been put into industrial production.
